The Orchard

Last January 18, 2014, Saturday, I went to the Warehouse Sale of National Book Store unexpectedly. The books are on 80% off the original price. I came from school and I want to check it out. Besides, I want to spoil myself for a while.

There were piles of books everywhere and I just don't know where to start. I was also overwhelmed that as the books were on sale, there was also an additional 50% at the counter. So if the written price on the book was 100Php. then the additional 50% off, all in all that book will just be 50 pesos. Simple math but that's way too cool for the bookworms out there!

I read books but those books are my sisters and I just borrow those from them. I read when it's summer so I can focus on it better and this is one of the books I bought.

Finished this in 2 days. Others may say that I'm slow or fast but memoirs are worth to be read in a slow manner. We are going back to the time and places remembered by the  authors and Theresa Weir also known as Anne Frasier did it well.

The Orchard opened my eyes on the truth about apples and how the codling moths ruin an entire orchard and how stories make mishaps on others. Theresa shared her experiences about her family and and struggles in life. But what makes me more hooked to the book is her adventures in dealing with Ruth.

Who is Ruth? Haha! Grab a copy and find out! Get to know Theresa Weir and her upcoming works at www.annefrasier.com
